Données sur la reproduction et la taille de première maturité du homard Homarus gammarus d'Iroise et du golfe de Gascogne ArchiMer

This paper deals with the lobsters caught by French fishermen off the "Conquet" (Iroise sea) and off "Ile d'Yeu" (Biscay Bay) on the French atlantic coast. The size at first maturity, defined as the size at which 50 % of female are able to reproduce, is deduced from the analysis of size frequency in landings. It is also shown that more than 50 % of the mature female are spawing each year ; the periods of hatching in the natural environment are also established.

In order to protect the lobster and crayfish stock, the following restricted areas have been created off the French coasts [...] Some roed females (lobster and crayfish) have been immersed in these protected areas with the financial help of the Revival Scheme of the Marine Fisheries. Les maladies parasitaires et microbiennes des crustacés ArchiMer
Leglise, Michel.
La présente conférence traite des maladies parasitaires et microbiennes des crustacés et essentiellement des crustacés commerciaux. Pour chacun des grands groupes de crustacés couramment commercialisés, nous passons en revue les maladies dues à des bactéries : bactéries chitinovores pour tous, Aeromonas pour le crabe Cancer pagurus, Gaffkya pour le homard ; à des protozoaires : ciliés (Ascophrys, Anophrys, par exemple), microsporidies et grégarines ; à des vers et enfin à d'autres crustacés. L'accent est mis sur la "Gaffkyose", maladie bactérienne du homard, qui a fait l'objet de nombreuses études tant sur le continent américain qu'en Europe.
